We are looking for a healthcare assistant/Support Worker who will assist healthcare
professionals, provide health care under the direct supervision and instructions of the
lead Registered Nurse in accordance with the needs and wishes of the Residents, to
carry out a spectrum of duties. Their tasks include assisting patients with personal
care and conducting clinical duties, in addition to carrying out, monitoring, and
recording the results of medical tests, which the healthcare professional will analyse.

To be successful as a healthcare assistant, you should possess a caring and
nurturing personality. You should also be able to handle physically demanding tasks,
such as supporting the weight of patients to aid mobility, turning patients over, and
lifting heavy medical equipment. You must be tolerant, helpful, able to be
sympathetic and be compliance. To assist residents and their families to understand
the ageing process and how this affects their health conditions and lifestyle. Attend
and contribute to team briefings, meetings with senior staff and other professional
groups at case conferences, reviews, etc, when required.

Help residents with all activities of daily life. Support induction and training of new
staff. Night staff may be required on occasion/courses, to carry out some domestic
duties provided they do not interfere with the residents’ needs. Always show
courtesy and respect to service users and their relations to ensure they enjoy the
highest quality of life, respect, and confidentiality. Always maintain good working
relations with colleagues.
